REVIEW: Kingston HyperX Black 8GB 1600MHz by James

Date: 3 May 2013
Kingston HyperX Black 8GB 1600MHz Reviewer’s thoughts

The Kingston HyperX Black 8GB 1600MHz (KHX16C9B1BK2/8X) modules came well protected in the standard memory wallet type packaging, which is pretty much par for the course for this entry level memory.

The modules themselves are a good size too, not being too tall at a height of just 30mm…

REVIEW: Kingston HyperX 10th Anniversary 8GB 1866MHz by James

Kingston HyperX 10th Anniversary Edition Reviewer’s thoughts

Enter the Kingston HyperX 10th Anniversary Edition 8GB Kit (2x4GB) – DDR3 1866MHz. These modules came in the standard memory wallet type packaging and while the modules are well protected I would have thought Kingston could have come up with something a little more impressive for its 10th Aniverssary, but…

Anyway what lies within the packaging is a truly great set of RAM modules…

REVIEW: Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB – 2400MHz by James

Date: 17 January 2012
Kingston HyperX Beast Reviewer’s thoughts

As is usual with Kingston HyperX memory the RAM modules may not have had the most eye catching packaging, but when it comes to performance the Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB Kit (2x4GB) – DDR3 2400MHz memory has taken on all comers here at pcGameware, and won!

REVIEW: Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB – 2133MHz by James

Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB Kit – DDR3 2133MHz Reviewer’s thoughts

The Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB Kit (2x8GB) – DDR3 2133MHz kit has put in a good showing during the time I have been testing. I would like to see Kingston jazz up their packaging just a little as this RAM is really geared more to the enthusiast market and you would not know from the packaging. Once inside the plastic wallet though the HyperX Predator memory shows its metal…

REVIEW: Team Group Xtreem LV Series 8GB 2400MHz by James

Date: 10 August 2012
Team Group Xtreem LV Series 8GB 2400MHz Reviewer’s thoughts

Throughout my testing period the Team Group Xtreem LV Series 8GB 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit has proved to be a stable, high performance kit. RAM running at 2400MHz is no mean feat (don’t forget that you will need to know that your memory controller aboard your CPU is capable enough too!), but the TeamGroup Xtreem LV Series modules have been super stable…

REVIEW: Kingston HyperX T1 (1866MHz) 8GB by David

Date: 11 June 2012
Kingston HyperX T1 1866MHz 8GB Reviewers thoughts

The Kingston HyperX T1 (1866MHz) 8GB memory modules have impressed me. They are smart to look at and well built and you certainly won’t find yourself grimacing as you push down hard on the heat-spreaders to insert them into the DIMM slots either! The only negative point is that the additional height caused by the heat-spreader design may conflict…

REVIEW: Corsair Dominator-GT (1866MHz) 8GB by James

Date: 09 June 2012
Corsair Dominator-GT (1866MHz) 8GB Reviewers thoughts

The Corsair Dominator-GT 8GB (CMT8GX3M2A1866C9) modules have performed remarkably well in the time I have spent with them. From the outset it was clear that these modules had been built with real purpose, they’re beautifully made and ooze a degree of quality. The optional Airflow module is equally well made but I’m unsure whether it’s really needed…

REVIEW: Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 8GB by James

Date: 27 January 2012
Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 8GB Reviewers thoughts

The Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 8GB modules have performed well during the time I have had them in my rig. Running at 1600MHz with timings of 8-8-8-24 means they are never going to be the fastest modules around (they’re not the slowest either!), but as you can see they responded well to a small overclock and the modules ran perfectly stable at 1633MHz.

REVIEW: Corsair XMS3 2000MHz 8GB by James

Date: 15 October 2011
Corsair XMS3 2000MHz

The Corsair XMS3 2000MHz kit has proved to be a great 8GB RAM kit for the Sandy Bridge platform being the highest performing 8GB kit that we have tested. Its combination of high speed and good timings has put it ahead of some of the tighter timed 4GB kits.

REVIEW: Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB by James

Date: 23 September 2011
Corsair Vengeance LP Reviewers thoughts

The Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB kit has put in an impressive set of results while on test, while it could not keep up with the 4GB G.Skill kits it gave them a good run for their money. The thing that’s holding the memory back is the low speed and relaxed timings in comparison to the others, so it’s unfair…

REVIEW: 4GB G.Skill RipjawsX 2133MHz

Date: 26 July 2011
4GB G.Skill RipjawsX 2133MHz Reviewers thoughts

So great looking memory at a great price that performs very well, outperforming my existing G.Skill RipjawsX 1600MHz by some margin. I also had no issues during install or setup and the memory performed flawlessly during all of the benchmarks and during over a week of testing.

The fact that I have also been able to overclock my machine to even greater heights is just the icing on the cake for what is already a great product.
